While an aerobics instructor, Jennifer Adame, MPT, was innocently asked to take a Pilates Certification course for her employer. Already an established college instructor and Physical Therapist, Jennifer was surprised to find a passion for Pilates, and a superior skill in breaking down the elements of Pilates exercise and using those techniques for therapeutic rehabilitation.
Mixing biomechanic knowledge with the advantages of Pilates, Jenni has become one-of-a-kind in her rehabilitation abilities, ahead of the therapy curve in muscle repair and rejuvenation for people suffering with a range of problems, from chronic pain to athletic or dance injury.
Combined with an overall concern for wellness and personal understanding of injury rehab (Jenni has recovered from her own knee reconstruction to become an avid soccer player), Jenni decided to open her own specialized personal Pilates business, called Premiere Pilates.
pilates (pronounced puh-LAH-teez) focuses on improving flexibility and strength for the overall body, but doesn't build bulk. Some of the first people to use pilates were legendary dancers Martha Graham and George Balanchine. More than just exercise, pilates are a series of controlled movements to engage one's body and mind...giving the body the 'cut' look, strengthening and lengthening muscles and having fun all the while.
