Wellness Class Descriptions

**ALL class participants will receive a full physical therapy review, so your class routine can be shaped specifically for you by our Physical Therapists.

Pilates Allegro

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening core muscles and stretching the muscles of the extremities to create a more stable base and a lean, graceful form.  Pilates Allegro is a reformer-based group class.  In this class you will be guided through a series of controlled Pilates-based exercises that are tailored to your individual goals and ability level.  This class offers a total-body workout that will strengthen, lengthen and stretch your entire body.  Suitable for all levels.

The exercises have been developed over the past century and must be overseen by a Certified Pilates Instructor/Physical Therapist to reduce injury potential and maximize your efforts.  Pilates shouldn't be done at home using a video or even under the supervision of a gym trainer - the slightest correction can make the difference between effective exercise and possible injury.

Class size is limited to five participants. 

Pilates Plus

Pilates Plus is a group class where you will be getting a cardiovascular workout as well as a lengthening and straightening Pilates program.  Class size is limited to six participants.

Pilates Circuit

Pilates Circuit - This is a group class that incorporates the use of the Cadillac, Reformer, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel and Props.  This class offers you the opportunity to experience the different challenges that each piece of equipment has to offer (all while taught and supervised by a Certified Pilates Instructor).  Participants will rotate through the different equipment choices for a total-body strengthen and stretch workout.  This class is for the intermediate to advanced Pilates enthusiast.

Class size is limited to six participants. 

Taught under the supervision of a Physical Therapist/Certified Pilates Instructor.

Balance Class

This group class is focused on improving your balance and preventing falls.  Taught by the only geriatric physical therapy specialist in Fresno, Kyndra Gray, this class is geared towards the senior population, but is open to anyone seeking to become more steady on their feet.  Prior to starting a class, all participants must first be screened through our Wellness Center (non-physician referred) or receive a full Physical Therapy evaluation.

This class is supervised by an expert Physical Therapist and can be billed under your insurance (including MediCare) with a physician's order.  Class size is limited to six participants per class.  Classes meet for a minimum of two months.

This one-hour class is offered two days per week (excluding major holidays) and will be offered at the following times:

 Monday and Wednesday at 11:00am

Balance Class rates:  $150 per month (2x per week)

Senior Strengthening Class

This group class has a primary focus on improving cardiovascular fitness and overall strength.  This class is offered to participants who are 55 years young and above.  Prior to starting a class, all participants must first be screened through our Wellness Center (non-physician referred) or receive a full Physical Therapy evaluation. 

This one-hour class is taught by an expert Physical Therapist and meets two days per week (excluding major holidays).  Please check schedule or call for class times.

Senior Strengthening Class Rate:  $150 per month (2x per week)

Physiomotion Interval Training (PHIT) Group Sessions:

PHIT is an intense interval training class which incorporates cardiovascular exercise along with core and extremity strengthening and flexibility exercises.  This specialized class is instructed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and you must undergo a previous Wellness Center screening and an instructional series of treatment sessions (approx. 4-6 sessions).  Participants must also be cleared by their primary physician and initiate the Physical Therapy evaluation by receiving a Physical Therapy referral from their doctor.

Once trained and graduated to the PHIT class, participants will know how to properly train while protecting their bodies.  This one-hour class is offered five days a week (excluding holidays) and will be offered M-F at 5:30am (lockers and shower facilities provided). 

Class size is limited to 15 participants (you'll want to dress for a workout and bring your own towel and water).

Physiomotion Pre-Season Prep (P3)

        Individual and Group Sessions

P3 is an intense, maximal interval training class utilized to prepare participants for their collegiate/professional pre-season (or to get to the next level of cardio fitness).  This specialized class is instructed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and you must undergo a previous Wellness Center screening and an instructional series of treatment sessions (approx. 4-6 sessions). 

This class is crazy intense!  As a result, prior to the class, participants must be cleared by their physician and initiate the Physical Therapy evaluation by getting a physical therapy referral from their MD.  Participants with any significant orthopedic or systemic pathology will not be allowed to participate.  Hydration and proper nutrition are imperative prior to this class (be prepared to sweat a lot!).  Classes offered 6 days a week during the summer quarter at 5:15am M-F and 7:00am Sunday.  Class size is limited to six participants who are dedicated to their sport.

P3 Rates - $500 for the 9-week program

Independent Gym Program

Participants must be an active or discharged Physiomotion patient or a screened participant of the Wellness Center at Physiomotion Physical Therapy, Inc.  Programs will be set up with you by an expert Physical Therapist.  Participants may use all of the equipment in our main gym, but must give current patients priority in the use of the equipment. 

Gym hours are available M-F during normal hours of operation.  Bring your own towel and water bottle.  Showers/lockers are available.  Drink plenty of water and have fun!

Independent Gym Rates: $100 per month

Physiomotion Cardio Core Circuit (C3) Group Sessions

C3 is a group class which will improve your Cardiovascular efficiency in a new and exciting way!  Get a great workout while focusing on Core strength and stability, implemented in a Circuit training system utilizing constant and varied movements.  Currently classes are offered M and W from 4:30-5:30pm.  Class size is limited to six participants.

C3 Rates (small group classes)

60 min per week - $75/month

120 min per week - $150/month

Physiomotion Personal Training Sessions

When working out by yourself is not working, it's time to enlist the expertise of our biomechanical experts.  Once a wellness screen is performed by a Physical Therapist, a personal trainer will work with you under the supervision of a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  This personalized workout program is designed just for you and is conducted with specialists in training and injury prevention.  Rates:  $45 per 30 min, $60 for 60 minutes.

Physiomotion is glad to offer the additional service of nutritional counseling for anyone at any level.  Eat for maximum performance and recovery.  In addition, body composition testing through CSUFresno is available.  Call 224-WELL (9355) for details.

Discounts!!

Since it is recommended that all participants commit to at least a three-month program, Physiomotion offers the following incentives to help you get well and stay well:

New participants that pay in full for a three-month program will receive their Wellness Screening (a $250 value) for FREE.

Returning participants who commit and pay for a three-month program in advance will receive a 20% discount!

Participants who pay for 10 personal training sessions in advance will receive a 10% discount!

Payments for all classes may be paid in advance (cash/credit/debit), or the payments may be broken into two or three payments.  Split payments are due by the 20th of the month previous to the sessions.  If payments are not received by the 25th, you may lose your spot to the first person on the waiting list!

Drop-in rate for the Independent Gym Program is $10.

Drop-in rate for returning PHIT class members is $20.

Drop-in rate for returning Wellness Class members is $20 (space available).

There is NO drop-in available for the P3 class.
